Lucia Cottone is the Senior Vice President of Development and Current Programming for Sony Pictures Television Global Networks, a position she accepted in May 2011.  In this role she is responsible for original global launches such as The Firm, as well as overseeing regionally produced content such as Mexico’s Next Top Model and Cash Cab Asia to name a few.

From 2006 – 2011, as a VP at Lifetime Television, she oversaw the development and current programming slate, for both comedies and dramas, including the hit drama series “Army Wives,” Lifetime’s highest-rated series in the network’s 26-year history.  Prior to Lifetime, Cottone served as Director of Cable Programming for NBC Universal Television Studio, covering USA and SyFy’s original content. She has also served as Director of Drama Development at UPN, VP of Development at Telemundo, and the Director of Creative Affairs at Rysher Entertainment.

A graduate of Emerson College in Boston, Cottone earned a bachelor of science in public speaking and television production. She also holds a degree in professional photography from the New England School of Photography.  Cottone resides in Los Angeles where she also dedicates her time to youth mentoring. She is a founding member of the Hispanic Media Advisory Board for The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy a, is active in developing programs for the I Have a Dream Foundation, and serves as a media advisor for Taylor’s Gift Foundation.
