Santana is in charge of overseeing all of the Network's content distribution efforts, as well as the company's distribution services to other producers around the world, international co-productions and partnerships.  Santana is also involved in the Network's development process for all program genres, including developing original concepts, procuring scripts, making casting decisions and assessing international distribution viability. 

In the recent years, Santana and his team have launched the Telemundo Internacional cable channel in 19 different countries, with plans to expand to at least 5 other countries in the next 2 years.

Santana has been a longstanding and active member of the board of several important television networks in Latin America including Televen in Venezuela and others in Panama and Spain. He currently is member of the Board of the Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO).  In 2011, 2012 and now in 2013,  Santana has been recognized as part of the Imagen Foundation’s Most Powerful & Influential Latinos in Entertainment.  He was also among 2011 Adweek Magazine’s Most Influential Executives and Personalities in Hispanic Media.  

Santana holds a law degree and a master’s degree in copyright law from Spain.
