Roberto Llamas
Mr. Llamas joined Univision in March of 2011and has been helping lead efforts to improve the company’s organization and human resources performance. Prior to Univision he was at the The Nielsen Company where he served as Chief Human Resources Officer for this Consumer Research Company with 35,000 employees in 100 countries. At Nielsen he helped build a high performance culture, implementing robust leadership and talent development systems and putting in place aggressive human capital strategies to invest and succeed in developing markets.
Prior to Nielsen, Mr. Llamas served as Chief Administrative Officer for The Cleveland Clinic, a $5 billion, and top rated health care institution with 45,000 employees. There he implemented productivity initiatives that led to operating gains and improved patient and employee satisfaction. Mr. Llamas also introduced six sigma and wellness programs and significantly upgraded compensation, diversity, and leadership development programs. He formerly was the Chief Human Resources Officer for Lehman Brothers and was also a Corporate Officer at General Electric where he headed up HR for three of GE’s largest businesses. Mr. Llamas has also owned and managed his own consulting firm and held Senior Leadership positions at TRW and Southern California Edison.
Mr. Llamas is a graduate of California Polytechnic University and earned a MS in Organizational Development from Pepperdine University. He has served on the board of trustees for several community and education based organizations. Mr. Llamas was named one of “100 Most Influential” by Hispanic Business Magazine in 2009, and one of the “Most Powerful/Influential Latinos in Entertainment” by The Imagen Foundation in 2008. He was also recently profiled in the July/August 2011 issue of “Hispanic Executive”.
