Nominees for 27th Annual Imagen Awards Announced

Premier Hispanic/Latino Entertainment Awards Scheduled for Friday, August 10th, 2012 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel

PASADENA, CA -The Imagen Foundation has announced the nominees for the 27th Annual Imagen (Spanish for “image”) Awards, honoring positive portrayals of Latinos and Latino cultures in entertainment.  The awards will be presented at a gala black-tie dinner on Friday evening, August 10th, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel International Ballroom.  The Imagen Awards will air as a one hour special on PBS SoCal on Sunday, September 23rd.

The Imagen Awards nominees were announced today by DIY expert and HGTV and Fox Utilisima television personality, Carmen De La Paz.                                                                

Winners will be selected by an independent panel of entertainment industry executives and Latino community leaders and announced at the awards gala.
