The Imagen Awards: Premier Latino Entertainment Awards

The Imagen Awards aims to recognize and reward positive portrayals of Latinos in all forms of media, as well as to encourage and recognize the achievements of Latinos in the entertainment and communications industries. The Imagen Foundation works to create, promote, and enhance opportunities for all Latinos in front of and behind the camera and throughout the entertainment industry, and serve as a liaison between the industry and the Latino community by providing access, education and resources.

Due to high demand, the deadline to submit to the 31st Annual Imagen Awards has been extended to Tuesday, May 10th, 2016. All entries postmarked by this date will be eligible for consideration for this year's Imagen Awards.

The Imagen Foundation is currently accepting entries for the 2016 Imagen Awards. Now in its 31st year, the Imagen Awards honors positive images of Latinos and the Latino community in television and film.

Categories include student films, shorts, documentaries, and advertising campaign as well as television and film projects. Entries must have been televised, streamed or screened in a theater or a film festival between May 1, 2015 and April 30, 2016. Deadline for submissions is May 2, 2016.

The Imagen Foundation is now accepting submissions for the 2015 Imagen Awards. To qualify for the Imagen Awards, entries must have been distributed or aired from May 1, 2015 to April 30, 2016. The deadline to submit entries for consideration is May 2, 2016.

LOS ANGELES (August 22, 2015) – Winners of the 30th Annual Imagen (Spanish for “image”) Awards, premier Latino entertainment awards program to advance the positive portrayal and number of Latinos on screen, were announced last night at a star-studded special ceremony held in the Grand Hall of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles.
